I got your attention with the word porn in the heading but now you are going to learn something. ASCII stands for “American Standard Code for Information Interchange” and is a computer term from way back in the day, the 1960s. It defined how computers displayed a common set of characters on the screen and contained 95 different characters.

ASCII Art is the art of using the aforementioned character set to create pictures. Probably the most commonly used ASCII art is for emoticons…. You know, like the smily face. But, they can actually be far more complex than that like this example:
